Regular volunteers are the lifeblood of our nonprofit operation. As an educational facility we offer a place for volunteers to learn and gain hands-on experience in the proper care and handling of horses as well. We welcome all ages and abilities and are more than happy to help train new recruits.
Some of the projects our volunteers work on include:
• Feeding animals
• Grooming horses
• Cleaning stalls
• Training/exercising horses
• Building/repairing fences
• Caring for tack and other equipment
• Haying (in summer)
• Helping tend sick or injured animals
• Construction projects
• Public relations
Many of our outreach programs also require us to leave the facility. We attend many expos and fairs around the community and nation.
If you are interested in volunteering your time off the ranch we have opportunities for that as well. If any of these projects sound like a good fit for you, if you have other skills to offer (professional or amateur), or if you'd just like to come out and see what there is to be done, give us a call 208 882-9293, please don't hesitate to fill out our volunteer application. We can't wait to hear from you! Feel free to fill out the packet and bring it with you or fax it to us.
Wanted: Volunteer Grant Writer!
We are seeking a volunteer with grant writing skills to help us find and apply for grants.
Although when you come and how long you stay are both up to you, we do ask that you give us a call beforehand to let us know when you plan to be here. What you will do while you are here depends upon what you are comfortable doing and what we need at the moment.
