Daily Schedule - Tuition - Directors

DAILY SCHEDULE:

MPTC time is divided into three parts: activity/play time, snack time, and circle time.

9:30 - 10:30 Activity Time and Free Play
Activity Time - On the activity tables, children can work on special activities and projects. These activities are planned by the "activity parent" who is scheduled for the day. If you are wondering what type of activities are appropriate, it is always fun to do something you and your child do at home. These activities can, but do not have to be craft activities. They can be any fun/learning activity that is different from the usual running around. Something you would sit down for at home or some physical activity that you could show the children (i.e. walking on a rope, doing a somersault, crayon drawing or play dough, dressing up in front of a mirror, etc.) works great - just something special that is different from free play. If you do not have any ideas, please consult the files or ask others for suggestions.

Free Play - Both children and parents benefit from the socialization during this time. We provide coffee, tea, and hot chocolate and invite parents to share their favorite snack with the other parents. MPTC owns a variety of toys, a small trampoline, tricycles, bicycles, books, etc.; if you're looking for a particular type of toy, ask another member or one of the directors.

10:30 - 10:45 Snack Time
After play, members go to the snack area where the children enjoy a little snack, usually consisting of some fruit, cheese, crackers, and drinks. The snack is provided by a scheduled "snack parent". This parent arranges snack on individual napkins provided for each child and distributes the snack.

10:45 - 11:00 Circle Time
After snack time, children and parents sit in a circle and learn new songs and finger plays, as well as enjoy old favorites.
