Our parish is located in Genesee, Idaho and has been active since 1878. The community is diverse including everyone from long time farmers to university employees and students. We have two separate church buildings. The Genesee Valley church is a quintessential white country church set on rolling green hills. It was built by Scandinavian settlers over one hundred years ago. St. John's church is "in town" and is a beautiful brick structure with wonderful stained glass windows. It too, is over one hundred years old, built by the early German settlers in the area. The churches were operated separately until 1960. Now they are combined and share a pastor, Dave Deckard.
