The WSU Pullman International Folk Dancers meet each Friday night in room 115 of Smith Gym on the WSU campus while WSU is in session. We set up at 7:00 p.m. Dancing starts at 7:30 PM and usually continues until 10:00 PM. See also "coming events", particularly for summer hours and meeting places.
We are a group of people that meet together to dance for fun. We have a large selection of recorded music from various countries around the world.
On a typical Friday night we will have a mixture of line dances, circle dances, and couple dances. Dance partners are welcome, but not necessary. A few dances are usually taught at the beginning of the evening. Both the instruction and the dancing are free. (See also coming events.) We do have an optional membership with dues. Money collected helps with the purchase of music and equipment.
Occasionally, a voluntary subset of our group will agree to give a performance.
We are something of a social group and some of us take part in special folk dance events and other activities.

We are back in Smith Gym, WSU every Friday evening that WSU is in session. We meet from 7:30 until until 10:00 p.m. Since most of our dancers will be attending the Richland Folk Dance Festival on the weekend of October 6-8, we may not meet that Friday; however, check to be sure. Italian village dances will be featured at the Festival in Richland, WA. For more information call Gretchen Makinson at 509 943-1264 or e-mail her at gmakinson@owt.com
