The WSU Pullman International Folk Dancers meet each Friday night in room 115 of Smith Gym on the WSU campus while WSU is in session. Dancing starts at 7:30 PM and usually continues until 10:00 PM. See also "coming events" for our summer schedule.
We are a group of people that meet together to dance for fun. We have a large selection of recorded music from various countries around the world.
On a typical Friday night we will have a mixture of line dances, circle dances, and couple dances. Dance partners are welcome, but not necessary. A few dances are usually taught at the beginning of the evening. Both the instruction and the dancing are free. (See also coming events.) We do have an optional membership with dues. Money collected helps with the purchase of music and equipment.
Occasionally, a voluntary subset of our group will agree to give a performance.
We are something of a social group and some of us take part in special folk dance events and other activities.
Affiliations: Northwest Folk Dancers Inc.
We're meeting in 115 Smith Gym while WSU is in session. Beginning May 15th our group will be meeting in "The Attic", 314 E. Second, in Moscow Idaho for the summer. The Attic is reached by going around to the back of this house and up the stairs.
