Registration:
6:00 to 6:35 PM, We ask that only patrol leaders approach the registration table to complet
their patrol's registration and pay the $1/ Scout entry fees.  A check is the preferred method of paymen
It might pay to have the names of the Scouts in the patrol written out so the leader doesn't have to run back
and forth to check on the spelling etc.  Each patrol must consist of at least three Scouts.  The meet wil
start 6:45 sharp.

Program:
The program consists of two examinations written by the Pullman Fire Dept. Emergency response team
Patrol Leader's are responsible for the preparation and their patrol member's conduct.
All Scouts must be in uniform.  Each Scout must have a pen or pencil.  Pencils will NOT be provided.
Boy Scout Handbooks, merit badge manuals, notebooks, and/ or any such materials can not be used
while taking the exam.  Bandages, splints and other necessary props will be provided.

Written Exam: The written exam is handed out in an envelope to each patrol just before the exam is
to start.  Scouts must not talk to each other during the written exam. The written exam consists of
50 multiple choice questions plus an answer sheet.  The Scouts write their unit number and patrol name
on the answer sheet.  The answer sheets are the conventional scoring answer sheets used in school that
they are familiar with.  We will allow 30 minute at most for the exam.

Five Practical Exams are given at each of 5 Stations.
The Scouts are provided with the props they may need such as blankets bandages etc.
The fire department staff mans the stations.
Victims are drawn from the parents present.
There are generally 5 or more staff at each site prepared to give the exam for that site.
They have a scenario written out on a card, which they read, and also have the answers expected.
They give the patrol a chance to organize their thoughts before starting to take action.
Leadership and team play is a large part of the score.  Some patrols come with each member having
been assigned to be familiar with certain responses i.e.  pressure points, CPA etc.
Each station scores the performance of the patrol on the card.  Patrol leader collects examines and
delivers to the adult "Score Keeper" in the center of room. The Score Keeper then adds it to the patrols
written score and tabulates the total scores.  The Scouts are then to return to their assigned spot on the
gym floor.  Crowd control is essential.

Awards will be made for the first, second and third place patrols and Webelos dens.

Closing will occur between 8:30 and 9:00 PM
